About Me!

  You are going to find fun and creative jewelry, beads and other items by Nanette Charif in Tucson, Arizona.  I use various beads and findings to create my designs, anything from glass, crystals, metals, to vintage, and my own lampworked beads.  Most items are one of a kind but don't hesitate to ask otherwise.

First a little history.   I grew up in Wisconsin learning to sew, knit, crochet, and do other crafts. I've been a hairstylist for over 30 years and hair styling gave me an excellent outlet for my creativity for a very long time.  About 25 years ago I started bead stringing and making jewelry for myself and friends.  I sold some here and there  when I decided that I wanted to take my bead stringing to the next level.  I looked around for classes to take and ended up at a glass lampworking class.  I was hooked and obsessed after the first class.  I've been at the torch for five years and can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing. 

Dick and I love living in Tucson, Arizona with our dog, Keegan, 3 cats and our flourishing Koi pond (9 fish).  Our sunny days, gorgeous mountains, and our wonderful back yard full of plant life are some my inspirations.  Having been in the hair biz for so long I can't help but be influenced by fashion and what's new! 

I now have my new studio up and running-yeah!!  It houses my torches, bench, and kiln along with my retail area for the glass rods (I carry Effetre, Vetrofond, Lauscha, CiM, Bullseye, frits and foils). 

The future is full of excitement and new ventures--come along for the ride!  Check back frequently to find out what's new.
